The Position
The Administrator will join the company’s administrative team in Llanishen Cardiff, which is responsible for a wide range of activities including:-
Planning product shipments world wide in co-ordination with the manufacturing and product assembly teams.
Preparation of documentation, including invoices to accompany the shipments, booking the shipments with various national and international couriers and supervising the collection and loading onto the courier’s vehicles.
Checking incoming e-mails, particularly orders for RSR products and organising their internal distribution.
Receive and handle phone calls
Accept deliveries of goods onto the RSR site
Accept visitors
Organise on site meetings
This is a full-time on site position (8am – 4pm Monday to Friday) for a person who has the ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, excellent communication and time management skills and a strong work ethic.

The company has a long history of cutting edge research in particular on the interaction between autoantigens and autoantibodies at the molecular level. These are presented at scientific meetings and published in scientific journals.
The Position
The Scientist will join a dynamic team working on projects related to autoimmune thyroid diseases, type 1 diabetes mellitus and neuroimmunological diseases at RSR's Laboratories in Cardiff. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues on production of key reagents for manufacturing assay kits and reagents for detecting autoantibodies. The Scientist will collaborate with production teams to ensure the best performance and quality of the products and will be expected to join in Research and Development activities of the team. This will include improvements and adjustment to existing products, developing new assay systems, developing new technologies, in depth studies of the characteristics of the key reagents and the opportunity to join in collaborative projects with academic institutions and other organisations.
This is a full time, lab-based position for a scientist with excellent practical laboratory skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail and interest in scientific advancements.
Main Responsibilities
- Purification of recombinant proteins using a wide range of biochemical methods
- Diagnostic assay development and improvement
- Cooperating with team members, reporting to the Team Leader/Supervisor and cooperating with the production departments
- Complying with Quality Control standards
- Following Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and preparation of reports
- Presentation of work at meetings (internal and external)
- Keeping up to date with the scientific literature
- Assisting in preparation of scientific publications
- Assisting in responding to customers' queries
- Maintaining a safe and healthy working environment and complying with Local Rules and Health and Safety rules/policies
- To be aware of and report all hazards, incidents and potential incidents relating to safety

- Recent PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology or a related subject

The Positions
These involve working in a dynamic team responsible for production of components and their assembly into high quality diagnostic kits.
No previous experience is necessary but a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and good practical skills are essential.
Both full time (8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday) and part-time (9:15 am – 3:00 pm Monday to Friday) positions are available.
